Keno, Simplified.
It's a game of chance, but it
doesn't have to be random.
We offer tools, insights, & smarter
ways to pick Keno numbers.
What is
Keno?
Keno is a fast-paced, lottery-style game that lives somewhere between bingo and a numbers draw. It's where you pick numbers and see how many match the draw. That’s it. No cards to memorize, no strategies to master... just numbers, chance, and a little suspense.
You choose your numbers, place your bet, and the game randomly draws 20 numbers from a pool of 80. The more matches you get, the more you win.
Simple game. Big range of outcomes.
Mostly, yes. Keno is a game of chance.
That said, how you choose your numbers is up to you. Some players pick their kids' birthdays. Some stick with their favourites. Some rely on their luckiest numbers. Others use tools and data to make more intentional picks instead of guessing.
We don’t promise wins. We help you pick with purpose.

My keno story &
where it all started.
My first trip to Vegas was in the 1990s. I had picked several tickets for the same draws, where I chose several different combinations of numbers, playing a variety of numbers on each draw, and multi-game tickets which ran for 21 sequential games. One of the perks of playing in Vegas was that I received a voucher for a free breakfast for having played these selections on Keno. I had chosen 9 numbers on one card, 7 numbers on another card, and another 7 for a different card. To my surprise, I had a Keno runner (the lady who takes Keno bets and runs them to the Keno cashier) come back to my table in the restaurant to tell me that someone had won a jackpot. Sure enough, my numbers had been drawn, and all three tickets were winners. Needless to say, these numbers became my favourite numbers as the 9 number ticket that I had selected won $20000, and another 7 number ticket had won $5000.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best sequence of Keno numbers to play?
At Can-Do Keno Fun Club Inc., we hope to offer you the chance to explore possible patterns that could be caused by the use of electronic number generators. There’s no magic set of Keno numbers. Every number from 1 to 80 has the exact same chance for every Keno draw. Hot streaks, cold numbers, lucky patterns? Only you can decide, but they don’t change the odds.
Some people pick birthdays or anniversaries, others go with “lucky” numbers, quick picks, or fun patterns on the board; it’s all part of the experience. Picking more numbers can mean bigger potential wins, while fewer numbers might score smaller hits more often, so it just depends on how bold you’re feeling. So, pick what you like, enjoy the game, and let the numbers do their thing.
How many Keno numbers should I play per draw?
How many Keno numbers should you play? That’s where the fun really begins:
- 4–6 numbers: Nice and steady. You’ll snag wins more often and keep the excitement rolling, which is perfect if you like a steady stream of little celebrations.
- 7–8 numbers: It’s what avid Keno players call the sweet spot! A great balance of action and ambition, with wins that feel a little juicier.
- 9–10 numbers: Go big energy. Bigger potential payouts, bigger suspense, and those “this could be the one” vibes every draw.
There’s no magic number… It’s all about your style and the amount of “lucky” numbers you want to play. Want more frequent high-fives? Play fewer spots. Feeling bold and chasing that big moment? Load up a few more. However, you play it, set your budget, enjoy the ride, and let your favourite Keno numbers bring the thrill.
How much money should I bet per play?
When it comes to how much to play per Keno bet, the best amount is one that keeps the game exciting without adding pressure. Safe gambling practices are always the best bet! The goal is to feel that little spark when the numbers start picking, not stress about every draw. Since many Keno games and VLTs let you start for as little as a penny, you can easily select your bet to match your mood, your budget, and how long you want to play Keno that day. Think of it less as “How much can I win playing Keno?” and more as “How much fun do I want per Keno round?”
Here’s a simple way to think about the Keno payout structure and the bets you play:
- $0.01 to $0.25 bets: Super relaxed mode. Great for stretching your bankroll and enjoying lots of Keno draws per sitting.
- $1–$2 bets: A nice balance. Wins feel meaningful, but you can still play comfortably with reduced risk.
- $3–$5 bets: Turning up the excitement. Bigger pops when you hit your chosen Keno numbers.
- $10+ bets: High-thrill territory. Bigger swings, bigger adrenaline. Higher risk Keno game play.
Whatever you choose, set a budget first and stick to it because that’s the real winning strategy!
Are there different strategies depending on the style of the Keno game?
Absolutely! While all Keno games are random, the style of the game can influence how you might approach it. The “strategy” isn’t about beating the odds (you can’t), but about matching your play style to the game’s mechanics and payout structure. The differences usually come from bonus features, multipliers, themes, and how numbers or combinations are rewarded, which can change how you decide to play.
Each game style offers a slightly different “Keno playing experience,” which can guide how many numbers you choose, how much you bet per draw, and how you approach the round. While no strategy changes the underlying odds of hitting your numbers, adapting your play to the game’s unique features can make it more exciting, more interactive, and sometimes more rewarding.
Are there variations of electronic Keno games available online, in casinos, or VLTs?
Yes, multiple variations of Keno game styles are available to give that added thrill. The differences usually come from bonus features, multipliers, themes, and how numbers or combinations are rewarded, which can change how you decide to play:
Classic Electronic Keno: This is like traditional Keno on a screen, with standard draws and payouts. Strategy here is simple… pick the number of spots that match your risk style and focus on enjoying the suspense of the draw.
Multi-way or Combination Keno: Some games let you bet on multiple combinations of your numbers at once. This increases the chance of hitting smaller wins in a single draw. Players may choose to spread their bets strategically across “ways” to maximize coverage and keep the action steady across the Keno board.
Multiplier Focused Keno: Games that include random or progressive multipliers reward hitting certain numbers or patterns. Players might adjust the number of spots or bet size to take full advantage of these potential boosts, balancing risk with the chance for bigger payouts.
Bonus Feature or Themed Keno: Games with mini-games, special symbols, or themed bonuses give extra opportunities beyond matching numbers. Strategy here may involve aiming for patterns or triggering bonuses, not just standard wins. Players often adapt their bets to increase the odds of activating these features.
What’s the difference between keno and bingo?
Bingo and Keno are both number games, but they play very differently. In Bingo, players mark numbers on a pre-printed card as they’re called, aiming to complete a pattern like a line or full card, so speed and attention matter. Keno, on the other hand, lets you pick a set of numbers before the draw, and winning depends on how many of your chosen numbers match the randomly drawn numbers. Bingo is usually slower and social, while Keno is often faster and electronic, with flexible betting. Essentially, Bingo is a pattern-based game, and Keno is a pick-and-match lottery-style game.
